The PVHB Series linear high bay LED fixtures bring together a modern design with dependable performance, maximum functionality and superior energy efficiency to address the needs of modern commercial and industrial facilities. Developed specifically to meet the most demanding specification criteria in high bay and low bay applications, the PVHB Series embraces a modular design that facilitates application flexibility in addition to superior performance, efficiency and reliability. With a choice of lumen packages and superior light distribution control, these high bay lights are applicable to a range of applications including warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, gymnasiums, retail stores, order fulfillment centers, and exhibition halls.
The PVHB Series is equipped with state-of-the-art LED light engines which form the core technological innovation of this modular family. Amalgamating years of engineering experience and unique expertise in linear LED lighting, PVTECH pioneered the concept of integrating linear light engines into high bay lighting systems. This innovation brings architectural aesthetics, robust thermal management and exceptional optical performance all together in one complete solution that redefines linear ambient lighting. The linear light engine incorporates all components, which include the LED light assembly, LED driver, and other optional control modules into a ruggedly constructed, thermally optimized, and optically enhanced system.
The light engine has a heavy duty aluminum housing that provides ruggedness, durability, thermal capacity as well as a clean look. Conventional high bay LED lights typically have high LED density which causes the high heat flux from the p-n junctions concentrated in a heat mass (metal core PCB that mounts the LEDs). Although heat can be transferred to the ambient environment by thermal conduction, convection or radiation using aluminum heat sinks, most heat sink designs are only able to maintain the junction temperature at the upper limit of maximum rated junction temperature. Prolonged heat flux concentration at this level may cause phosphor thermal degradation, which eventually leads to color shift, light output reduction, accelerated lumen depreciation and shortened lifetime. The threshold temperatures of thermal degradation for some types of phosphors may be as low as 85 °C. With PVTECH's linear heat sink design, uniform heat flux over the longitudinal heat sinking surface ensures there's no excess heat buildup around the diode and the maximum junction temperature is kept well below 70°C.
Available in 60cm and 1200cm lengths, these modular LED engines allow scalability from 100 watts at 4-module configuration to 1200 watts at 8-module configuration with light output ranging from 1000 lumens to 120000 lumens. High quality LEDs combined with superior thermal management and load regulation allow the light engine to deliver high flux density and luminous efficacy as well as exceptional quality of light throughout the fixture's long rated service life. Using milky white diffusers, embossed Fresnel lenses, or integrated LED lenses, the light engine produces uniform light distribution along with the lowest glare factor in a beam angle of 120°, 100°, or 60° respectively. This optical flexibility makes the PVHB Series high bay lights suitable for both open area lighting and high rack/aisle lighting.
The linear light engine is powered by integrated constant current LED driver that features a high power factor (PF) and a low total harmonic distortion (THD). The driver operates with robust specifications over a wide input voltage range (100VAC - 240VAC). The high reliability driver is equipped with over-voltage, over-current and short-circuit output protections to protect the LEDs against adverse effect of abnormal electrical conditions. The driver is also protected against line surges and overtemperature faults. To maximize energy efficiency and facilitate lighting control, the driver offer a complete range of dimming solutions, with both stand-alone and network protocols which including 0-10V, PWM, phase control and DALI. Optional integration with occupancy sensors further increase the energy savings.
With exceptionally robust construction and high ingress protection, the high bay light is protected against destructive vibrations and ingress of dust, moisture and water spray. Modular construction allows for convenient installation, servicing, maintenance and future upgrade. The independently operable LED engines can be individually replaced without causing a cascading failure. The fixture can be surface, chain, cable or stem mounted.
