YD-WP-20 LED mesh screen delivers superb visual effects and excellent contrast ratio across its entire length of 1000 mm and height of 1092 mm. The scalable mesh system can be adapted to the geometry of any facade with no constraints on size. With a typical pixel pitch of 50mm, the mesh screen strikes an optimal balance between transparency and display resolution. The LED mesh screen incorporate 768 SMD5050 RGB LED modules with each having a built-in control IC that provides dynamic integration of power, communication, and control. The control IC has shift registers with three 8-bit PWM controllers to modulate and control the brightness/color of each LED channel. The ability to display 24 bits per LED node allows a full spectrum of saturated colors to be produced. These independently addressable LED nodes are connected to multiple strands which are daisy chained by jumpers. The mesh is controlled via DMX512 and e:pix (DVI-capable) protocols. With Ethernet connections and computer management, larger installations can be easily managed.
Core to the YD-WP-20 LED mesh system are its durable LED nodes which are engineered to offer excellent resistance to water and dust ingress, weathering and temperature. Yongdian utilizes patented secondary packaging technology to hermetically encapsulate all components, including diodes and control/electrical circuitry, in a one-piece molded PVC housing. Conventional LED modules use sealants to achieve a very limited period of outdoor ingress protection. Long term exposure to splashed water, dust and moisture, UV radiance, extreme temperatures and atmospheric influences will inevitably accelerate the deterioration of sealant impermeability. Hermetic encapsulation gives integral protection to LED components without the concern of unstable sealant chemistry that is typical of silicone potted LED modules.
With submersible grade LED nodes, the YD-WP-20 stainless steel LED mesh screen is a watertight system with superior waterproofing performance and can operate in all weather conditions. These LED nodes have excellent weathering and radiation resistance that can survive up to 10 years of exposure in tough outdoor environments. High impact resistance of PVC encapsulation provides high levels of stress relief to sensitive control circuitry. The flame retardant plastic node housing has a limiting oxygen index (LOI) of 28% and is UL 94 V-0 rated. The lasting durability offer by the ruggedly built mesh system makes it possible for property owners and media management companies to reap the benefits offered by LED technologies throughout a long lifespan.
