Available in both single color (red, green, or blue) and tricolor (RGB) light outputs, the YD-DGC-50 family offers a versatile solution to project specific requirement. Full color LED modules provide 3-in-one light sources that enable dynamic lighting effects to be created with a wider palette of colors in a wider range of lighting schemes. Each RGB module uses a WS2811, WS2812, TM1804, UCS1903, P9813, or WS2801 type IC chip to enable intelligent control of each individual module using 3 DMX addresses. These individually addressable light sources make it easy to create programmable lighting effects or display text, graphics, and video animation on multiple LED nodes simultaneously. When properly specified and deployed, the intelligent RGB LED modules can be programmed to deliver brilliant light shows and intricate media scenarios with fascinating color depth.
These rugged, outdoor-rated LED modules are hermetically sealed using patented secondary packaging technology to withstand the harshest environments, offering a lifetime of superior light output and highly reliable operation. The concept of secondary packaging is based on the primary LED packaging which is designed to provide the led chips with protection from environmental contaminants, apart from electrical connections, thermal management, and light emission efficiency enhancement. Secondary packaging provides hermetically sealed encapsulation for the entire LED module, which includes the SMD LEDs, control circuitry and PCB. This technology eliminates the downside of silicone-based waterproofing treatment, in which the sealant chemistry may deteriorate overtime due to long time exposure to extreme temperature and environmental conditions.
Module-level protection achieved through secondary packaging offers remarkable improvement in product durability. The one-piece, sealant-free PVC housing provides highest waterproof protection for the LED modules and can be used for submersible lighting at a water depth of 20m. The UV-stabilized housing has excellent weatherability and can survive up to 10 years of outdoor exposure. The flame retardant plastic has a limiting oxygen index (LOI) of 28% and is UL 94 V-0 rated.
