The infrared sensor switch from Surmountor Lighting is designed to automatically switch on/off the cabinet, wardrobe or closet lights with a wave of the hand or upon the opening/closing of doors. The switch kit includes a splitter box that accommodates three IR switches and allows users to choose between the "Door Activation" and "Hand Activation" mode. With the "Door Activation” mode, the IR sensor switch gets a signal frequency match and activates the light instantly upon recognition of removed obstructions when the doors slide or pivot open. When the doors are closed the light is switched off. With the "Hand Activation" mode, the proximity sensor captures the infrared impulses reflected from the hand that waves at distances of 10 centimeters. When the strength of the reflected signal reaches the threshold value, the light is switched on. A second hand wave will turn off the light. The sheer convenience provided by the infrared proximity switch kit makes it the perfect solution for a variety of cabinet and tight space lighting applications. The IR switch kit has a maximum load of 8 amp and operates 96W at 12V, or 192W at 24V. The switches are available in surface mount and recess mount versions.
