The Lumenpulse Lumendome is a family of direct view luminaires designed for creative pixel-mapping applications. The dynamic, fully-customizable LED node solution is capable of producing extraordinary effects including two- and three-dimensional light shows and low-density video displays. Combined with its flexible form factor that accommodates expansive installations without the constraints of fixture size or shape, the Lumendome family of LED pixels enable lighting designers and architects to create unique, vibrant lighting environments for a wide range of projects, including TV scenography, theme parks, building facades, bridges, video art, and landmarks.
The unique family of point pixels comprises 3 different sizes; the Nano, which is a 2-inch (50.8 mm) round lumianire, the Small, which has a diameter of 4 inches (101.6 mm), and the 6-inch (152.4 mm) Medium. These LED nodes are available in white (4 color temperatures; 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, and 4000K) and RGB color-changing versions. Lumendome luminaires come standard with a domed optic which features a 240˚ viewing angle. The near-omnidirectional light emission enables pixel perception from any angle, which is critical in creating 3D spatial effects. Flat lenses are available to deliver superior peak intensity for impactful illumination of 2D architectural surfaces and structural elements.
The high brightness LED pixel lights are equipped with high efficacy and high flux density LED packages that boasts an industry-leading lumen maintenance of up to 120,000 hours (L70 @ 25°C). Each LED is powered by an integrated circuit (IC) chip which provides on/off control and adjustment of light intensity. The embedded IC also operates the individually addressable pixels of the RGB LED packages and allows the brightness of each pixel to be regulated independently of its color. With 256 steps of color depth for each calibrated red, green and blue LED pixel, the RGB LED node produces virtually limitless color selection from 16.7 million color combinations through programmable additive color mixing. Lumenbin, an advanced binning algorithm, guarantees the LED's color temperature consistency within a 3-step MacAdam ellipse. Tight LED binning tolerances ensure unprecedented consistency of color performance across multiple fixtures in an installation.
The digitally-addressable LED pixels can be controlled and mapped at a software level to create chases, fades, blinks, flashes, scrolls, bursts, and other animation effects. High-impact animated lighting displays can be created by interfacing DMX content with Lumendome LED pixels. These LED luminaires can be addressed in batch with the remote device management (RDM) protocol and support direct Ethernet communication. The DMX/RDM compatibility enables lighting designers to create complex lighting scenarios with remote system configuration, programming and monitoring of the installation. The LED pixels operate with 48V DC input which enables long runs on a single output. The pixel string can extend to a maximum length of 370ft (112.8m) using 33 Lumendome Nano luminaires, 260ft (79.2m) using 16 Lumendome Small luminaires, or 220ft (67m) using 7 Lumendome Medium pixels.
Lumenpulse offers a suite of control systems for enhanced design and installation flexibility. Lumentouch 2.0 is a wall-mounted, intuitive, touch sensitive DMX512 controller that allows users to program, modify and trigger lighting effects and shows, dimmers, speed and color, with just a finger touch. LCU Lumencue is a USB / mini SD DMX512 controller that allows dynamic lighting shows to be programmed quickly and easily. LID LumenID is a diagnostic and addressing DMX512 controller that provides a direct connection to a PC for quick and easy addressing, diagnostics and demonstration of Lumenpulse fixtures. LTN Lumentone is a simple pre-programmed DMX512 controller that allows you to dim, add effects, alter the rate of change, and adjust both colors and color temperatures with a turn of its push button rotary dial. The CBX60-100 is a control and power supply box designed to increase flexibility and simplify the wiring process. The control box provides up to six low voltage power and data outputs to fixtures or fixture runs and allows for full bi-directional control capabilities, with both DMX/RDM and Ethernet-based lighting systems.
Lumenpulse builds its LED pixels to withstand the harshest weather conditions and environments, guaranteeing years of maintenance-free operation. The tough housing is made of low copper content machined aluminum and protected with an electrostatically applied polyester powdercoat finish in black, bronze, or silver. The optical diffuser is manufactured from impact resistant, UV stabilized polycarbonate. The entire luminaire is sealed to provide IP66 ingress protection and constructed to offer IK07 protection against external mechanical impacts. Canopy and wall mount mounting options provide maximum deployment flexibility.
