The TABLED LED light engine from AEC Illuminazione Srl is a modular LED assembly that incorporates high performance LED packages, driver circuitry, and other optical, thermal, mechanical and electrical components. This rugged, weather proof LED module is designed to provide a plug-and-play solution for new construction and retrofit projects in industrial, commercial and outdoor lighting applications. The integrated lighting system is designed to be run on AC direct current so as to bring lighting designers and facilities owners uttermost design and application flexibility. Exterior ceilings, scaffoldings, subway tunnels, railway stations, petrol stations, parking garages, airports, and shopping malls are just some examples of TABLED applications.
The 5.5" square light engine has a compact form factor that makes it an extremely versatile solution. This installation friendly LED engine can be integrated into a host of light fixtures such as canopy lights, pathway lights, flood lights and high bay lights. The TABLED is in particular suited to recessed applications in indoor and outdoor canopies which are typically found in entryways, covered walkways, retail facilities, warehouses, gas stations, shipping docks, stockrooms, and utility areas. The light engine produces up to 1900 lumens of high quality light from 9 high efficacy and high flux density LEDs. In addition to delivering superior performance, these high quality LEDs yield unparalleled energy efficiency and virtually eliminate ongoing maintenance expenses thanks to TABLED's advanced system engineering that guarantees reliability for years of trouble-free operation.
The TABLED Series features an advanced LED optical system which are optimized for efficiency and uniformity, creating precise light distributions for maximum application spacing and illuminance. Precision engineered optical lenses allow the direction, beam angle and intensity of the light to be tightly controlled and provide precise cutoff to eliminate spill light. These optically efficient lenses are made of injection molded, UV-stabilized and aluminum metallized polycarbonate. TABLED is available with following photometric distributions:
- ST: Asymmetrical distribution for street lighting.
- OC: Asymmetrical distribution for pedestrian and cycle path lighting.
- S: Symmetrical distribution for area lighting.
- SP: Spot and flood optics (5 different beams, SP25/40/60/100, EL).
TABLED is self-ballasted with a built-in driver available in 525mA and 700mA drive current options. The constant current LED driver provides tight regulation and control on the current output. A power factor correction (PFC) circuit minimizes losses in the AC power and enables the driver to run at an excellent power factor (PF) of 0.9. When the LED array is operated at a current rating of 525mA with power supply rated at 15 watts, the light engine outputs 1350, 1400 and 1500 lumens in S/OC, ST and OP light distributions, respectively. At 700mA working current with 20W power consumption, the light engine produces 1670, 1740 and 1900 lumens from S/OC, ST and OP optics. The device also features overvoltage protection for enhanced reliability. An integrated surge protection module (SPD) that can withstand a single hit of 10 kV /5 kA protects all downstream electronics from electrical disturbances. The driver is dimmable and compatible with DA (virtual midnight), DAC, and PLM (power line single point communication system) lighting controls.
Constructed of extruded, anodized aluminum, the light engine housing with a 4mm tempered cover glass provides a heavy-duty structure that protects all enclosed components for life. With integrated heat dissipations fins the aluminum housing provides high capacity heat sinking that efficiently draws heat away from the LED junction. Excellent thermal management translates to optimal LED performance with a minimum 80,000 hours of L80 life or 70,000 hours of operation in B20L80 specifications at 525mA drive current and 70,000 hours of L80 life or 50,000 hours of operation in B20L80 specifications at 700mA drive current. The light engine is fully sealed to maintain an IP66 rating, protecting it from the intrusion of water, insects and dust.
