Nothing upgrades your vehicle's lighting capabilities quite like the Rigid® Adapt™ LED light bar, world's first off-road lighting product that can change its beam patterns on the fly. Combining state-of-the-art LED technology, cutting edge Active View™ technology, and rugged, thoughtful construction that exudes Rigid's proud craftsmanship, the Adapt is geared up for handling just about any application that you have in mind for your off-road adventures. Built-in RGBW accent lighting delivers snazzy expression in any color available in the visible light spectrum, taking your vehicle to a whole new level of style. Striking a perfect blend of powerful illumination, sophisticated optical engineering, strong aesthetics and edgy style, the Adapt is sure to enhance your nighttime driving experience while giving your vehicle a one-of-a-kind personality.
Adapt features a robust optical system that is attuned to virtually all driving conditions. No longer do you have to make hard decisions on which beam pattern to choose for your light bar. With 8-step selectable beam patterns from 15 degrees to 90 degrees, drivers can tune their vehicle lighting to any terrains and environment -- whether you need a spot beam that extends out toward the horizon for high-speed visibility, a flood beam that spreads light in front of the vehicle and some distance ahead to increase peripheral visibility, or even a balanced beam that provides both fatigue-free visual comfort and ample driving visibility. Integrated optical design allows Adapt to create various beam combos in which drive zone illumination of varied intensity is supplemented by either a spot or a flood beam, thereby providing an optimized field of view and improving visibility for maximum safety.
The RGBW accent LED module that is installed around each primary projecting LED can produce a soft glow in any desired color through additive color mixing. The captivating light delivers distinct visual beauty and makes a vehicle more eye-catching and conspicuous to all road users. Color-tunable accent lighting transforms the Adapt light bar into a daytime running light that provides sensational decorative lighting and enhanced daytime visibility.
The multi-beam forward projecting LED light and RGBW accent light are controlled by the included Rigid dash controller. The programmable controller stores two preset lighting configurations that can be manually activated at the push of a button. Adapt's Active View Technology is unlocked by the Adapt GPS module which automates the 8-mode beam patterns when the light bar is set to operate in Adaptive Mode. The GPS module gauges the vehicle speed and instructs Adapt to respond accordingly with the most suitable projecting beam pattern. The speed-corresponding beam patterns are programmed via the Rigid dash controller. Simply drive to desired vehicle speed for Mode 8 (full spot mode) and press the Adaptive Mode button for 3 seconds or until the button flashes to save the setting. Once the Mode 8 speed is set the Adaptive Mode incrementally changes beam patterns based on vehicle speed and no additional programming is needed. To program the RGBW accent light press and hold the Rigid button for 3 seconds or until the icon flashes to enter the programming mode. Colors will cycle until a desired color is chosen and saved by pressing the Rigid button. Primary accent colors (red, green, blue, amber, and white) can quickly be set by pressing the mode up or mode down keys once the color cycle has been activated.
The dash controller is backlit for easy nighttime operation and offers intuitive control with visual representation of beam pattern width and accent color. The compact GPS module works with a small GPS antenna that has a magnetic base designed for securely holding the antenna in place on any metal surface. The LED light bar, dash controller, and GPS module plugs into the Adapt under dash module which provides four connector interfaces. The accessory plug includes two auxiliary +12V inputs to trigger the projecting and accent LEDs, an input for GPS module, and a +VDC input for the under dash module. The switch connector accommodates the dash controller cable which is pre-terminated by Rigid to plug directly into the under dash module. The light bar connector allows the Adapt wiring harness to quickly and securely integrate with the vehicle's electrical system. The under dash module also includes a Bluetooth connector for additional wireless functionalities.
The Adapt LED light bars come in your choice of lengths all the way from 10” to 50” and generate up to 36,800 raw lumens of light in beams capable of reaching out to 1,380 meters away (illuminance @ 0.25 lux). The light bar uses a single row of immensely powerful LEDs which are hand selected from America's best LED manufacturers. The color temperature of these high power LEDs was carefully chosen to fall in a perfect range of pure daylight to penetrate the darkest night for superior clarity on the road. High volumes of luminous flux are harnessed by Rigid's patented optics to generate a beams that have impressive uniformity, range and breadth, but also has high beam precision with distinct cutoff to help prevent the light bar from blinding other drivers. Exceptional optical efficiency and high performance LEDs allow the Adapt to punch above its weight while delivering best-in-class energy efficiency with incredibly low current draw.
Sophisticated thermal management is one of the engineering excellences that differentiate RIGID from its competitors and give Adapt a competitive edge in product performance and reliability. Rigid's integrated thermal engineering goes far beyond creating a thermal solution based on LED manufacturer's test results which do not reflect the precise behavior of LEDs in a specific lighting system. All components along the thermal path were simulated in the worst-case use conditions to ensure they has the lowest thermal resistance possible and the thermal path is efficient and reliable enough to keep the p-n junction inside the semiconductor die under control. Adapt's robust thermal management system utilizes thermally optimized and adequately sized aluminum heat sinks, and aluminum PCB smart boards with copper thermal conductive pads. They work together to provide high efficiency heat dissipation that guarantees excellent lumen maintenance and no thermal-induced color shift toward the higher end of the spectrum over the product's rated life.
The off-road light bar is designed and built to endure the rigors that you, the road or nature can throw at them. The rugged housing is made from 6063-T5 aircraft aluminum extrusion which combines exceptional strength, durability, and thermal performance. A virtually unbreakable polycarbonate lens is sealed to the housing using custom molded synthetic polymer gaskets to create IP68 level ingress protection. Whatever aggressive rigs that may expose the light to mud, dirt, fog, snow and water, Adapt's durable protection can survive any challenge. A GORE® pressure equalizing vent manages the internal pressure in the enclosure and prevents deformations that could cause seal fatigue and failure. Hard coated for UV resistance, the impact resistant PC lens will never yellow and cause color shift. An Alodine® corrosion preventive and Tiger Drylac® UV protectant polyester powder coating protects the aluminum housing against corrosion and discoloration.
No moving parts, no fragile glass, There is nothing to break, rupture, or shatter. The SAE J575 compliant fixture is impervious to shock and vibration, making it suitable for the toughest applications ranging from rugged terrain and bumpy roads to cross-country, muddy courses and desert racing. Corrosion-proof chrome-plated 304 stainless steel brackets with rubber vibration dampers facilitate easy, quick installation and sturdy, adjustable mounting.
The Adapt LED light bar features a multivolt circuit that operates at a wide range of input voltages from 9 to 36 volts. Integrated electronics protect the LEDs in the event of polarity inversion and over- and under-voltage conditions. Electronic circuitry is tested to comply with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and radio frequency interference (RFI) directives and regulations. Low EMC/RFI signatures ensure the light bar does not interfere with on-board electronics, radios and GPS signal reception.
