The comprehensive range of LED bollards ties in architectural elements to create a harmonious effect for a multitude of applications. They are perfectly suited to enhance security while accentuating landscapes for driveway entrances, building entryways, pedestrian precincts, gardens, squares, foot paths, resorts, golf courses, recreational parks, playgrounds, car parks, wharfs and jetties. Whether it be a minimalist contemporary space or a more decorative environment for a park-style look, the overall height (OAH), optic system, lumen package, color temperature, top cap and body can be configured to seamlessly integrate into any architectural theme. The Pavilion LED bollards measure 7" (178 mm) in diameter for the round version, 7" x 7" for the square version, and stand 42" tall (OAH). This family also includes a 24" OAH short bollard model. The round bollard is fitted with either a crowned top or flat top. The square bollard has a choice of a peaked top or flat top.
A complete suite of expertly designed optical systems guarantees a high degree of optical efficiency, exceptional visual comfort and Dark Sky compliant illumination while adding qualitative design appeal to the entire system. The No Up-light, Clear Horizontal Lens and Clear Vertical Lens configurations are optimized for LED technology and create visual guidance with smooth, aesthetically pleasing light pattern. Pavilion leverages Hubbell's high performance site and area optics to produce Type I, Type II, Type III, Type IV and Type V IES distributions with zero up-light. Optional 180° house-side shields are available for asymmetric light distribution for the Type III optical system. Pavilion can be configured with louvers, grilles or choice of a clear or a diffused vertical lenses to provide increased vertical illuminance on pedestrian walkways and cycle paths. The U0 (No Up-light) optical system have an optically clear flat tempered glass lens, all other configurations have either an optically clear lens or high transmission efficiency acrylic diffuser.
The Pavilion bollards are available in 1000 and 2000 nominal lumen packages at 14 and 22 watts power consumption, with color temperature in 3000K, 4000K and 5000K options and a minimum color rendering index of 70. LEDs are binned post-production based on MacAdam ellipses to ensure color consistency from LED to LED, from luminaire to luminaire. The LED array is housed in the IP66 optical system and thermally interfaced with the heat sink. High efficiency heat dissipation ensures no thermal buildup at the LED junction and hence prevents color shift, efficiency degradation and premature failure resulted from phosphor thermal degradation. Excellent thermal management contributes to an extremely long service life of the LED module for a minimum of 100,000 hours with 90% lumen maintenance.
The bollard's modular design delivers a plethora of unique features exclusive to Pavilion. The configurable body of Pavilion can incorporate a NEMA 3R rated enclosure capable of hosting a number of receptacles, switches and devices. The tamper resistant, waterproof enclosure is ideal for applications requiring the integration of GFCI, emergency battery backup or powered USB connectivity. The power pedestal functionality transforms Pavilion into a mobile device charging station that enables people to plug in and recharge their smartphones and tablets. The body of the Pavilion bollard goes one step further than the hosting of receptacles and is fully compatible with any single or double gang device making it possible to accommodate keypad, proximity key card readers and accessible push buttons. In addition to electrical devices, Pavilion can also host a 3" marine grade speaker to support the needs of PA systems or emergency management.
Pavilion is the industry's first bollard to incorporate RGBW luminous accent with Bluetooth connectivity. The RGBW accent ring not only reinforces bollard's wayfinding capability, but also adds flair and wonder to the nighttime ambience. This module adds an additional inch to the fixture's overall fixture height. Lighting control for the RGBW module is performed via wired DMX RDM or Bluetooth wireless. Pair the bollard with Hubbell Lighting's Bluetooth mobile app for complete control over the RGBW light. The app provides intuitive user personalization for on-demand color changing and fixture management: color selection and adjustment; color matching via camera; dimming/ramping up; presetting color palette; fixture renaming and grouping.
This LED bollard is provided complete with an integral constant current driver housed within a waterproof compartment. The high efficiency LED driver operates at universal voltages (120-277V) or dedicated input voltages (120V, 347V, 480V, 208-277V, required for motions sensing) and boasts a 90% power factor and low total harmonic distortion (THD < 20%) at 50 to 60 Hz. Rated for -40°C environment, the driver has excellent cold weather performance. A built-in surge protector is rated to withstand 20kA of transient line surge. A factory installed high temperature fuse holder is included in the fixture housing. The optional backup battery provides 90 minutes of emergency lighting and has a typical recharge time of 32 hours. If your bollard includes battery backup option, an additional power wire labeled "Unswitched Power" is included and must be connected to an unswitched power source running 120-277 VAC to function properly.
When paired with controls a tremendous opportunity remains to maximize energy savings. The driver has a 0-10V dimming interface that allows dimming down to 10% and works with Lutron Diva AVTV, Lutron Nova NFTV and NTFTV. The driver is not compatible with current sourcing dimmers. Pavilion is compatible with most control systems including Hubbell Building Automation wiHUBB™. Optional motion sensor which has a 360° field of detection can dim or brighten the lights in response to changes in occupancy. Pavilion may be specified with Hubbell Control Solutions' SiteSync™ wireless solution for reducing power consumption and minimizing maintenance costs while optimizing light quality 24/7. SiteSync Lighting Control offers design flexibility, embedded intelligence, installation simplicity and the reliability of a wireless architecture.
These bollard lights are built to withstand the rigors of outdoor exposure and endure the most challenging abuse that people can throw at them. The rugged vandal-resistant construction consists the low copper aluminum die cast housing (optical system enclosure), heavy duty base casting, and shaft made of aluminum or concrete. The aluminum shaft is .125" thick and made from extruded aluminum 6061 alloy. The concrete shaft is medium sand-blasted with anti-graffiti sealer and material color is integral to the concrete mix. It is cast from fiberglass molds to insure uniform parts and cured to allow for completion of the hydration process. The optical assembly and driver compartment are sealed with continuous silicone gaskets to prevent water intrusion and ingress of environmental contaminants.
Exposed metal surfaces are protected by thermally cured triglycidal isocyanurate (TGIC) polyester powdercoat. This super durable finish is electrostatically applied after a multiple-stage pretreatment process to ensure excellent fade and abrasion resistance while promoting maximum paint adherence. Standard finish colors include black, dark bronze, graphite, platinum silver, light gray, titanium and white.
