A stunning blend of performance and aesthetics, the Lumecon Detroit Series (LDS) Forward Throw LED wall pack provides a distinctive lighting solution for commercial, industrial and residential applications where style is as important as pleasing ambience, precise optical control, low cost of ownership, and dependable operation. Created to capture Detroit Resiliency, Energy and Promise, the LDS-FT features a bold design that gives your exterior a fashionable flourish. Get on board with contemporary sophistication and meet sustainability goals with this impressively designed and rigorously engineered luminaire. The energy efficient, ruggedly constructed and architecturally inspired fixture is ideal for wall pack installations in almost any location including building entrances, perimeters, patios, porches, outlet exteriors, apartment complexes, parking garages, loading docks, tunnels and underpasses.
The LDS-FT Series which includes 27W, 35W, 45W, 55W, 65W and 80W wattages is designed to replace power hungry HID lighting up to 400W MH or HPS. The LED wall packs come in regular output and high output versions which deliver luminous efficacies of 97-105 LPW and 123-132 LPW, respectively. With high energy efficiency, maintenance-free operation and enhanced product life, the Lumecon Detroit Series provides a budget-friendly solution that substantially reduces energy and maintenance costs without compromising performance. The high output version is DesignLights Consortium® (DLC) qualified, allowing you to take advantage of rebate and tax incentive programs provided by the U.S. Department of Energy, and various States, Municipalities, and Utilities.
Beyond tremendous energy savings, drastically reduced maintenance and significantly longer lifespan than HID fixtures, the LDS-FT wall pack delivers state-of-the-art optical control for exceptional coverage and uniformity. The injection molded acrylic lens features precise prisms which optimize the distribution of luminous flux through refraction thus eliminating the pixilation common to LED applications as well as glare from every angle of view. The prisms provide visually attractive daytime "prismatic sparkle" whilst promoting exceptional uniformity and optical efficiency for nighttime performance. The forward throw (Type IV) optic produces an ideal wallpack distribution that keeps light squarely directed towards a large area on the ground in addition to excellent control of light spill or light trespass. The acrylic lens carries a 20 year warranty which includes resistance to yellowing with the yellowness index kept below 7.
Lumecon prides itself on using only the highest quality components to build a future-proof lighting system through a mistake-proofing design, engineering and manufacturing process. The LDS-FT incorporates the industry's finest LEDs to deliver high lumen output and high efficacy in thermally optimized packages that support high drive current and high temperature operation. Coming standard in 4,000K neutral white CCT, with additional options of 3,000K warm white and 5,000K cool white, these top-of-the-range LEDs are binned based on chromaticity, lumen output, and forward voltage to ensure consistent output. A color rendering index (CRI) over 80 outperforms HID fixtures and most LED wall packs on the market. For applications requiring higher color rendition, 90+ CRI LEDs are available upon request.
Lumecon's LED wall packs are engineered to depreciate no more than 30% in light output after 100,000 hours of operation. A confident 10-year warranty backs this market leading lumen output stability, and guarantees uncompromising system performance as well. The unbeatable product warranty was born of Lumecon's unyielding belief in its technology and expertise. The LDS-FT utilizes the Lumecon ETD™ (Enhanced Thermal Dissipation) System which boasts the most thermally-efficient light engine design in the LED lighting industry. The ETD System Engines are thermally bonded to provide maximum thermal dissipation to the ambient to ensure long life. The LED packages are mounted to metal-core circuit board which interfaces the heat sink for the largest possible contact area to ensure efficient thermal conduction. With adequate heat sinking provided by the die cast aluminum housing, the LED engine operates continuously in a temperature-controlled environment, where the LED junction and ambient air temperature are at equilibrium.
The LED wall pack has a built-in constant current driver that accepts universal line voltage input 120-277V or 347-480V and has 0-10V dimming capability. A 20kA/40kV varistor type surge suppressor provides an additional level of protection against power line disturbances in industrial and commercial applications. The SPD is wired in series with the luminaire input power in order to interrupt power to the luminaire during voltage spikes, thereby protecting the LED driver and circuit boards. The driver can optionally integrated with a rechargeable battery back-up (BBU) for emergency lighting applications. The BBU is designed to deliver 90 minutes of battery-supplied power during a power outage. It is a UL recognized component and meets all applicable safety standards. To maximize energy efficiency, a microwave occupancy sensor rated for -40°F to 130°F ambient environment is also available for complete on/off and dimming operation. Photocell can be installed as well for daylight-harvesting.
Heavy duty aluminum construction and high watertight integrity render the light engine and electrical components impervious to mechanical shocks, environmental extremes, dust ingress, and rain/water invasion at any angle. The LED board assembly has a waterproof coating using a UV stabilized acrylic polymer resin that meets MIL and ASTM dielectric standards and UL and IPC standards for flammability, moisture resistance and thermal shock. The aluminum housing with hinged front frame are sealed in place using a silicone gasket. The wall pack is certified to ANSI C136.31-2001, 3G Bridge and Overpass Vibration Standards. Available in dark bronze, white, black, and grey color options, the aluminum housing receives a super-durable black TGIC polyester powder coat finish applied after a multi-stage pretreatment process to ensure maximum durability, optimal color and gloss retention.
