The ellipsoidal spotlight utilizes the Ovation standard RGBA-Lime color palette which enables the fixture to produce virtually any color as well as nearly any color temperature of white (2800K-6500K) with superior color rendering. An assembly of 91 high power LEDs (18 red, 18 green, 19 blue, 18 amber, 18 lime green) makes it possible to obtain high intensity beams with beautifully deep color all over the spectrum, vibrant fullness in tinted light, and high quality whites. The addition of lime LEDs addresses the engineering challenge that any LED color mixing fixture struggles with: getting the best and widest possible range of colors with spectral richness and sumptuous color capabilities are preferred by lighting professionals for top level professional applications, including concerts, film productions, TV studios, shows, tours, fashion events, discotheques and clubs.
The unique formulation of color mixing LEDs enables Ovation E-910FC IP to strike a perfect balance between saturation and brightness while maintaining high color fidelity. Aside from assisting in mixing shades of white, lime also helps maximize the brightness and punch of more saturate colors. The lime and amber LEDs in the Ovation E-910FC fill in a large gaps in the color spectrum generated by RGB lighting fixtures and also increase the punch in the wavelength of color that our eye is most sensitive to. The end result of this is that the high power RGBAL color system of Ovation E-910FC IP provides up to 4,316 lumens of light output and an infinite selection of colors that fully exhibit three dimensions of the color experience: hue, saturation, and brightness. Being able to offer the widest range of high quality colors gives lighting designers a wider array of creative options.
The innovative combination of LED source technology is complemented by a precision optical system which contributes to the spotlight's excellent beam performance and unmatched beam versatility. With a choice of 7 lens tubes, the Ovation E-910FC IP provides a flood-to-spot capability of 11 to 41 degrees in beam angles and 14 to 51 degrees in field angles, with an illuminance of up to 4,400 lux at five meters in the center of the beam. The lens tubes which feature CHAUVET's proprietary optical technology allow the ellipsoidal to produce a beam of light that is sharply defined with a hard edge whilst remaining absolutely homogeneous in light distribution. The clean beam with a flat, even field of light facilitates superior gobo projection. In addition to delivering high optical efficiency and excellent beam quality, each lens tube has a color coding which provides visual identification of the fixture type from a distance. The color-coded section incorporates the standard drafting symbol for each beam angle.
The ellipsoidal light comes equipped with a pattern holder slot which allows a range of different patterns to be created and displayed on the front lens. Four adjustable integral framing shutters provide beam shaping and strobing abilities. An accessory slot provided with locking cover holds a drop-in iris, a motorized pattern device, or various other optional accessories. A gel frame holder allows users to color the beam with interchangeable color filters. The Ovation E-910FC IP has a manual focus, which is adjusted by using the beam focus knobs at the top and bottom of the barrel assembly. The barrel rotation knobs at the top and bottom of the light engine allow manual rotation of the barrel assembly up to 25° in either direction from the centered position.
Since color mixing with a 5-color system can be challenging, the full individual control of each LED channel is complemented with a virtual color wheel (VCW) which matches the color from the E910-FC IP to a fixture using an HPL lamp with the corresponding Rosco gel color. Over 30 pre-mixed colors, custom blended by CHAUVET engineers, are offered for rapid deployment of the fixture. This can be a huge time saver for designers and programmers, as formulating custom color palettes is one of the most time consuming tasks of designing with modern theatrical fixtures. VCW is available as a stand-alone control feature for manual operation and also as a control channel in select DMX personalities.
The convenient stand-alone modes as well as an ingenious DMX control lend E-910FC IP to a wide range of applications and programming. The standalone configuration includes the Focus mode which allows for focusing of the Ovation E-910FC IP without changing any menu settings and the Static mode allows for manual VCM operation and color mixing. A multi-function LCD graphic display provides a simplified access to all available features, including built-in programs, gobo rotator mode, master/slave linking, dimmer profiles, white balance, LED frequency, fan mode, back light, DMX addressing, system information and factory reset. The Ovation E-910FC IP uses a 5-pin DMX data connection for the 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, 14, or 16-channel DMX personalities. The Ovation E-910FC IP is RDM (Remote Device Management) enabled for bi-directional communication along existing DMX cabling with a dedicated controller that provides addressing, configuration and status reporting of the fixture.
An on-board LED driver that operates on an auto-ranging input (100 to 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz) provides accurate constant current control with low total harmonic distortion (THD) and a high power factor (PF). Adjustable pulse width modulation (PWM) control is employed within the driver to eliminate flicker on camera. The 16-bit PWM dimming circuit with a choice of 3 curves is designed to operate at frequencies including 600Hz, 1200Hz, 2000Hz, 4000Hz, 6000Hz and 25Khz. The product supports power linking. You can power link up to 7 E-910FC IP lights at 120V, up to 11 at 208V, or up to 12 at 230V. Power linking cables are available from Chauvet for purchase. This waterproof fixtures comes with a power input cord terminated with a Seetronic Powerkon A connector on one end and an Edison plug on the other end (U.S. market).

Excellent thermal management through forced air convection ensures that the fixture will maintain no less than 70% of its original lumen output after 50,000 hours. The cooling fan can be configured to operate on one of the four modes: Auto (a temperature sensor automatically reduces or increases fan speed based on the internal operating temperature), Off (fan will stay off, light output will decrease based on product temperature), Silent (fan will maintain a constant silent speed), and On (fan speed will always be at maximum). The Ovation E-910FC IP comes with a double-bracketed yoke which allows the fixture to be rigged in any orientation using mounting clamps or to be used simply as a floor stand light.
