The moving head light produces a powerful beam from a 900W LED light engine which delivers 46,000 lumens of 70 CRI white light with a 6500K color temperature. For theatrical applications requiring faithful color reproduction, an optional 90 CRI light engine which produces 34,000 lumens of 5600K white light at 880W power consumption is available on request. The huge amount of heat generated at the LED junction point is dissipated through a combination of forced air convection and passive heat sinking. The axial fan creates a high volume of airflow to transfer the thermal energy away from the heat sink, thereby guaranteeing efficient thermal management for exceptional lumen maintenance, color stability and extended service life. The variable speed, high performance cooling fan uses a premium quality bearing and is sealed to prevent dust penetration and maximize retention of lubrication for low noise, long life operation.
Thanks to its highly efficient proprietary optical system, Axcor Profile 900 projects perfectly focused gobos with an electronic zoom giving a choice of different beam angles that range from 7° to 40°. The linear, motorized zoom optic provides seamless transition from a tight, sharply defined beam for long throw projections to a homogeneous flood beam. The patented framing system which features 90° rotation of the entire system at variable speed allows the blades to be operated independently or in unison on four focal planes. The exclusive design gives Profile 900 the ability to create light curtains with genuine overall consistency. A 16-bit, infinitely adjustable high-speed iris with multiple built-in macros (random, pulsing…) trims the beam as desired to create columns of light in different diameters, right down to a pencil beam for a really punchy output. With both iris and framing shutters, the LED moving head offers maximum beam precision and versatility in a single automated fixture.
A CMY subtractive color mixing system which uses gradual-insertion dichroic wheels and a linear CTO color temperature correction device produces an infinite palette of vivid pastels and saturated colors with perfectly smooth transitions between colors. Six carefully selected color filters are available on this complementary wheel: dark red, brilliant blue, green, golden amber, navy blue, plus a custom designed filter to enhance the CRI. A gobo wheel with 6 interchangeable and 540° indexable rotating gobos (small dots, plumens, clouds V2, thin shaft, oak three, water lines) produces both aerial and projected imagery with amazing mid-air and break up effects with the only limit being your imagination.
The 6-position gobo wheel is supported by a fully controllable animation wheel which further enhances the projected effect. The rotatable and repositionable animation wheel can cross completely into the beam and features clockwise and counter-clockwise rotatability at variable speed. A 4-facet indexable prism that is rotatable in both directions has been designed to multiply gobo projection for a beautiful shower of light. Two continuously variable frost filters diffuse the beam to simulate a wash effect. The electronic strobe functionality offers a variable strobe rate from 1-12 flashes per second. The 16-bit electronic dimmer allows for smooth effect transitions by varying the intensity of the light output from 0 to 100% with no color drift at low intensities.
Powerful pan and tilt motors provide Axcor Profile 900 movement agility and the readiness with which Axcor Profile 900 responds to controls. The 3-phase motors enables the moving head to create continuous pan and tilt motion with a pan range of 540° and a tilt range of 250° at varying speeds from slow and gentle to extremely fast. These high-resolution stepper motors are controlled by a microprocessor to ensure an extreme accuracy of 0.2° resolution and perform automatic feedback and realignment should the fixture be knocked out of position. The Axcor Profile 900 features a motorized top hat which is designed to eliminate even the slightest parasite light emissions, which is highly appreciated especially in theatres and television studios. It moves in synchrony with the zoom and recesses automatically into the fixture housing.
This versatile fixture has multiple operation modes including DMX 512 control, master-slave linking, sound activation and built-in programs. An internal library of pre-programmed effects and colors delivers professional performances that still impress any audience. Claypaky Axcor Profile 900 is equipped with 5-pin XLR inputs and outputs to enable actuation via DMX with 38 or 42 channels. The moving head has series connectivity and can be driven by RDM, WebServer and Art-Net. An LCD graphic display with integrated control buttons facilitates convenient offline configuration. Thanks to a self-charging buffer batter, the digital display can be operated without connecting the light to an AC power source.
The high-output spotlight is powered by sophisticated driver circuitry that provides accurate current regulation. Integrated control electronics execute a check-up of all operating parameters including DMX signal levels on all channels, internal temperatures, and internal data transmission status. System information and error messages are reported on the display. A bipolar circuit breaker is incorporated to enhance safety. The Axcor Profile 900 is protected by overtemperature faults.
