The Stella family of LED track lights consists of two construction sizes and offers high intensity illumination with light output up to 9840 lumens, which was only previously possible with 150W metal halide lamps. These LED luminaires consumes less than half the energy needed to run metal halide lamps for equivalent outputs. High energy efficiency, low maintenance and long operation life are decisive in achieving economic success. Stella is built to deliver future-proof performance and industry-leading sustainability thanks to its advanced engineering that takes the art and science of LED lighting a major step forward. The purist, technical design of the cast aluminum housing contributes to high efficiency heat dissipation. High power LEDs are mounted on a metal-core PCB which has low thermal resistance to dissipate heat over a horizontal surface area. Robust interconnects between the LED packages and metallic board eliminate the risk of failures in solder joints due to strains incurred in thermal cycling and ensure reliability of both thermal and electrical conduction. Outstanding design and engineering of the LED thermal system ensures that the high power LED luminaires have an ideal thermal balance therefore reliability and a long service life. The thermally efficient LED packages are rated to perform a minimum L90/B10 life of 50,000 hours based on measurements that comply with IES LM-80 and TM-21.
In addition to guaranteed lumen maintenance and lifespan that outperform the competition, the equally important chromaticity stability ensures the precisely prescribed correlated color temperatures (CCTs) that help reinforce the overall design aesthetics remain virtually unchanged over the life of the product. The high performance LEDs incorporated in Stella luminaires provide clean, consistent white light (2700K for warm white and 4000K for neutral white) with a chromaticity variation of less than 2 SDCM (Standard Deviation of Color Matching). Tight color control ensures consistency in system color point as well as lamp-to-lamp uniform lighting. Even after 50,000 hours of operation, these LEDs still maintains a 3-step MacAdam ellipse color consistency that guarantees imperceptible color deviations. ERCO offers only the best possible color rendering, with a Ra >90 for warm white light and a Ra >80 for neutral white light. A uniformly spread spectral power distribution (SPD) throughout all wavelengths of the visible spectrum guarantees a faithful reproduction of colors with consistent depth and vibrancy through to the end.
The clean, uniform light distributions within the ERCO system of LED luminaires are generated by reliable and highly efficient Spherolit lens optics. Stella LED luminaires are available with a choice of beam patterns, including narrow spot (< 10°), spot (10°-20°), flood (25°-35°), wide flood (36°-45°) , oval flood (30° x 90°), and wall wash. The spot Spherolit lens has flat spherolites that produce low dispersion for a narrow beam angle. Unparalleled CBCP delivers highest punch possible for tight spotlighting, therefore creating high drama and visual excitement. The flood Spherolit lens produces a uniform beam with a large emission angle to maintain all dimensions of an object in aesthetic balance. The ERCO wall washing lens systems produce a homogeneous spread right up to the ceiling with balanced vertical and horizontal illuminance. The 0°-90° pivotable luminaire head and 360° rotatable housing provides pinpoint accurate aiming. Excellent optical design and multiple beam options provide lighting designers a universal solution that easily adapts to even the most challenging design requirement.
Stella LED track lights run on in-house developed driver systems and control gear to ensure optimal LED performance and smooth dimming experience. The high efficiency driver provides constant current regulation with output matched to the electrical characteristics of the LED module. Optimized electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) ensures Stella can work alongside each other without causing problems due to electromagnetic interference (EMI). Stella's DALI control gear uses constant current reduction (CCR) dimming to adjust the output current with flicker-free performance. The phase dimmable Stella control gear deploys a combination of pulse-width modulation (PWM) and CCR. A small PWM range makes it possible for less interruption of the current flow.
