INOTEC BNP edge-lit luminaire features a transparent acrylic panel that works both as a pictogram and optic. Measuring 325mm wide and 192mm high, the UV-stabilized, impact resistant acrylic panel traps virtually all luminous flux radiated from a top mounted LED strip module and distributes the lumens consistently, uniformly across the entire span of the emission surface. Its water clear transparency combined with exceptional optical uniformity ensures the visual attention to be focused on the evenly illuminated pictogram. The injection-molded acrylic panel is mounted to a brushed stainless steel housing in which a field replaceable linear LED module is optically interfaced with the top side of acrylic panel.
The frameless exit sign offers a viewing distance of up to 30 meters thanks to its high efficiency optics and high performance LED module. An array of 18 high quality SMD LEDs provide exceptional luminance with minimal lumen depreciation and chromaticity shift over their rated service life of 50,000 hours. The energy efficient LEDs consume up to 70% less energy compared to the legacy exit sign luminaires using incandescent bulbs and fluorescent lamps. The INOTEC BNP Series edge-lit luminaires are designed and manufactured in line with DIN EN 60598-1, DIN EN 60598-2-22, DIN 4844-1 and DIN EN 1838 standards. INOTEC self-contained luminaires are operated by the EB LED SV/B 1-8/D electronic modules which are specifically developed to provide high efficiency emergency lighting management. The self-diagnostic circuitry continuously monitors every critical function of the system, which includes the power condition, battery capacity, emergency lamp continuity and charging circuit. It provides instant visual verification of system fault via the multi-color LED indicator. The EB LED SV/B 1-8/D module is programmed to ensure equipment readiness by performing periodic tests. The luminaire has an integrated test switch for manual activation of diagnostic testing.
The programmable control circuitry enables mixed operation of the switching modes (maintained light, switched maintained light and non-maintained light) as well as selection between 1h, 1.5h, 2h, 3h and 8h emergency light durations. The INOTEC BNP exit sign light is equipped with a maintenance-free, high-temperature rated, 4,8V 1,1Ah nickel metal hydride (NiMH) battery which is protected from deep discharge by a low voltage disconnect circuit. No mechanical relays are used, an internal solid state transfer switch automatically connects the backup battery to LED load, eliminating concerns of relay failure. Upon restoration of AC power the battery is automatically disconnected from the load and recharged through a constant current charger.
The EB LED SV/B 1-8/D electronic module allows the self-contained emergency sign luminaire to be connected to the BNS-MTB central monitoring system. BNS-MTB can monitor up to 64 INOTEC self-contained luminaires from a central location and displays collected data on a user-friendly, easily readable and clear graphic OLED display. All failures such as faulty LEDs or battery malfunctions are notified immediately and recorded in an electronic test logbook available for evaluation by any duly authorized personnel.
With a choice of mounting options including recessed, surface, wall, and pendant mount, the INOTEC BNP Series edge-lit luminaires can accommodate a variety of installations. A pivoting system allows the luminaire to easily adapt to sloped ceilings or stairwells.
